Ikorodu Business Unit Upgrades Equipment To Boost Service Delivery

Service delivery for customers under Ikeja Electric’s, Ikorodu Business Unit received a boost with the recently revived essential devices – a 10KV Megger Tester and Hipotronics – that have been faulty and abandoned for several years.

With this development, it is expected that the rate of testing, fixing faulty transformers and addressing downtime across the network, will improving tremendously.

Hitherto, Ikorodu BU had only the 5KV Megger Tester, which is used to test transformers across the vast Ikorodu network. However, the restoration of the 10KV Megger and the Hipotronics used for locating faults in underground cables, will further enhance the team’s operations and service delivery.

In similar vein, the Business Unit also intends to put back in shape the Thumper Hipotronics, an instrument designed to also detect faulty cables.

This move by Ikorodu BU clearly demonstrates its readiness to boost operations in Ikorodu, protect and value its assets while also taking cost-effective measures deliver efficient services to customers
