Ikorodu Transmission Station Set To Undergo Maintenance

Transmission Company of Nigeria have notified Ikeja Electric of the urgent need to perform maintenance work on Ikorodu Transmission Station. This repair will require that the Station is shut down from the 15th July 2017.

The shutdown will affect T1 60MVA, 132/33kv Transformer with three (3) nos 33kv outgoing feeders.  To mitigate against total black out however, customers on affected feeders will be back fed from alternate feeders.

The Maryland Transmission Station which feeds Maryland, Alapere, PTC, Wasimi and Adekunle Fajuyi Injection Stations will also be affected as supply to Maryland Transmission Station is from the Ikorodu Transmission Station.

The maintenance by TCN will largely affect supply to the above mentioned stations, thereby leading to load shedding. However, IE will do its utmost to cushion the effect by judicious management of supply during this period.

The repairs should be completed in two weeks.

All inconveniences are regretted.
