In accordance with the approval by the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) for the review of tariffs and charges by Electricity Distribution Companies, and in line with NERC’s Guidelines for Tariff Consultation by Electricity Distribution Companies.
Ikeja Electricity Distribution Plc hereby gives notice to customers and stakeholders within its network comprising; AbuleEgba, Akowonjo, Ikeja, Ikorodu, Oshodi and Shomolu Business Units of its intention to carry out review of the current electricity tariff.
The intention of this exercise is to review the existing tariff structure and arrive at cost reflective tariffs for all classes of customers of Ikeja Electricity Distribution Plc in line with section 76 (2) of the Electric Power Sector Reform (EPSR) Act, 2005. In carrying out this review, Ikeja Electricity Distribution Plc will consider amongst others, the reclassification and creation of new customers classes, the appropriate mix of Fixed and Energy charges to accommodate the concerns of customers in view of very low generation supply across the country.
