Ikeja Electric Marks Customer Service Week

Ikeja Electric, Nigeria’s largest distribution company, has restated its commitment to the highest levels of service delivery, leveraging on a sound business model, technology expansion and highly professional staff, to turn the aspirations of its customers to opportunities.

The Company, as part of this year’s international Customers Service Week celebrations rolled out a series of exciting and rewarding activities ranging from presentation of gifts to loyal customers, internal staff engagements, and focus group discussion sessions with Customers all in a bid to deepen customer experience during the week.

An interactive session with a cross section of Customers from the six Business Units afforded opportunity for IE’s Ag. Managing Director, Dr. Anthony Youdeowei to appreciate the patronage of customers generally, noting that the improved partnership with paying customers was a major driving force fuelling the drive to improve overall customer experience at all locations within the IE network. He called for sustained cooperation with the Disco pointing out that this will go a long way in strengthening relationships and service delivery.

Customers embarked on a guided tour of IE’s Call Center, set-up to bring the company closer to consumers. Leading the tour, Head, Customer Service, Ms. Adebola Ajibade, while fielding questions spoke on plans to further expand customer touch points across the network with alternative platforms deployed to ensure customers have access to the business at all times. She called on customers to make use of channels such as the Live Chat on the company’s website to resolve service related issues.

Mr Babatunde Bamgbade, a customer, noted with much delight that Ikeja Electric had greatly improved on its services. While pointing out that it was not yet Uhuru, Mr. Bamgbade noted that IE was on the right path to success. “There are still many issues, but from what I can see it is clear that the right heart and the right head are both in place at Ikeja Electric. Hopefully the dividends of all these innovations will reach us with better power supply.”

The Customer Service Week, which started 33 years ago, is a unique period when service organisations and global agencies extol the patronage and loyalty of their esteemed customers by introducing several unique and special activities to appreciate them.
