Ikeja Electric Plays Host To Primary School Pupils On A Learning Trip

Ikeja Electric recently hosted pupils of Little Rock Nursery and Primary School who paid a learning visit to the organization’s Corporate Headquarters. The visit was to give the youngsters firsthand experience of some of the rudiments of the organization’s operations hence we opened our doors to welcome them.

In line with IE’s safety standards, the pupils went through the routine safety drill where they learned how important it is to observe safety precautions especially in high risk sectors such as electricity distribution. The pupils had so many questions about the process electricity distribution and were shown basics of the electricity value chain and how electricity supply reaches their homes.

The pupils also paid a visit to our storage facility where they learnt about the various materials and equipment used to maintain the power distribution network and also demonstrated the right methods of storing them.

Ikeja Electric continues to contribute meaningfully to the social development of her host communities via diverse PCSR initiatives that foster better relationship between the Company and her Constituents.
