Lagos State Education Board Lauds New Approach To Safety Education

…Approves distribution of PowerPlay Board Game to 104 schools within District VI.

The Tutor-General/Permanent Secretary of the Lagos State Educational Board District VI, Mrs. O. O. Onadipe has commended Ikeja Electric on its recently introduced proprietary board game PowerPlay  which was presented to Oke-Afa Junior and Senior Secondary Schools, Ejigbo.

At the presentation ceremony Head, Finance & Admin, IE, Yewande Ogunsuji, who represented the Business Manager of Oshodi Model Business Unit highlighted the benefits of the game with respect to safety education and demonstrated how it is played. Speaking further, Yewande said, “We are more than a service provider. We care about our customers and host communities, so we give back at every given opportunity. We want the public to understand the risks and hazards in this sector; We believe that by providing guidance on safety we could prevent serious accidents from happening”.

In her response, Mrs. Onadipe applauded the educational and entertainment qualities of the game, which had endeared it to the hearts of the principals and students present at the ceremony.  She said, “I never knew that Ikeja Electric does anything other than providing electricity until now. And I must say that I am impressed. I promise to support IE from today and I hope that this game will be circulated to all the 104 schools within the District.”
