Ikeja Electric (IE), Nigeria’s largest electricity distribution company, has reaffirmed its commitment to compassion and community impact as it joined the world to commemorate the International Day of Charity 2025.
Through its #GiveBackAlways initiative, the company’s employee-volunteer team visited the Finger of God Orphanage Home in Ayobo, Lagos, where they spent quality time with the children, donated essential items, and shared moments of joy and connection.
“At Ikeja Electric, we believe that true power lies in compassion and solidarity,” said Engineer Abayomi Bolorunde / Business Manager, Akowonjo Business Unit. “This initiative underscores our belief that giving back is more than a moment—it is a movement that lights up lives beyond electricity.”

The visit reflects IE’s unwavering commitment to social responsibility and its broader mission to make meaningful contributions that extend beyond power supply. By engaging directly with vulnerable communities, Ikeja Electric continues to demonstrate that charity is not just an act, but a way of life.
The event highlighted that the International Day of Charity is not merely a symbolic date but a call to sustained action, compassion, and solidarity in building stronger communities.
