Alimosho Residents To Enjoy More Supply As TCN Commissions 100MVA 132/33KV Transformer

Ikeja Electric customers living in Gowon Estate, Shagari Estate, New Ipaja, Ayobo, Abule-Egba, Ekoro, Ajasa Command, Okunola, Idimu Road, Olorun Adaba, Shasha, Sanyos Layout, Akowonjo, Orile-Agege, Arigbanla, Dopemu, Tower Aluminum, Oko-Oba, Oki and environs will enjoy more power supply in their area due to the recent commissioning 100MVA at Alimosho Transmission recently.

According to a statement by the transmission company, the capacity of the substation prior to the installation was 160MVA but with the replacement of 1X30MVA with 1X100MVA, 132/33kv transformer has upgraded the substation to 230MVA.

The Chief Technical Coordinator, Ikeja Electric Plc, Engr Sunday Oyewole, commended the community leaders for their patience and assured them of effective utilization of the newly commissioned transformer to evacuate more power to their communities and appealed for adequate response to payment of electricity bills to enable the two companies carry out routine maintenance regularly.

On metering, a major concern for residents, Engr. Sunday Oyewole noted that the newly introduced MAP (Meter Asset Provider) regulation would solve the issue shortly.
