IKEJA ELECTRIC PAYS COURTESY VISIT TO THE NEW OSOLO OF ISOLO KINGDOM Lagos, Nigeria; May 16, 2025:

As part of its ongoing commitment to strategic stakeholder relations, Ikeja Electric, Nigeria’s leading electricity distribution company, has paid a courtesy visit to the newly installed Osolo of Isolo Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oba Isa Abiodun Shekoni Faronbi, Alagbeji III at his palace.

During the visit, the Business Manager, Michael Ugbodaga, highlighted notable developments in the vicinity, including the successful Meter Asset Financing (MAF) initiative, the recent upgrade of the Canal Feeder to Band A status, and the replacement of the Itire Injection Substation panels in March—all geared toward improving the quality and quantity of power supply. He emphasized the importance of community collaboration in combating energy theft and infrastructure vandalism.

“Beyond being a customer-centric organisation, we also prioritise feedback, hence our NERC approved customer redress mechanism for complaints’ resolution, whistle-blowing platform to report anomalies and safety emergency lines for hazards. Also, we are on three radio stations weekly and hold regular meeting virtually and physically to address communal issues.” He concluded.

In his remarks, HRM Oba Isa Abiodun Shekoni expressed appreciation for IE’s visit and lauded its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, particularly the recent World Malaria Day outreach where residents were tested for malaria parasite and presented with treated mosquito nets. He stressed the importance of intensified sensitization efforts to educate residents on IE’s operations and policies. “Sensitization is highly needed to foster a greater relationship between Ikeja Electric and its host communities.” he noted.

The Isolo LCDA CDC Chairman, Hon. Segun Olatunde echoed the monarch’s sentiments, commending the improved power supply while encouraging further partnership in giving back to underserved communities.

The visit marked another step in IE’s mission to strengthen stakeholder confidence and reinforce collaborative partnerships across its network.
