The Federal Government has approved the Presidential Metering Initiative (PMI) with the overarching objective of closing the metering gap in the country within three years by leveraging smart metering technologies and data analytics. The MAF scheme under this initiative is designed to procure and install meters for unmetered customers nationwide. The funds will be managed by a Fund Manager as approved by the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC). Following the successful completion of MAF Phase 1 under the first tranche disbursement for unmetered Band A customers, NERC has approved the commencement of MAF 2 under the Tranche B disbursement
