Earlier today, the Senate Privatization Committee, accompanied by officials from the Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE), conducted an oversight visit to Ikeja Electric. They were warmly received by Ikeja Electric’s CEO, Mrs. Folake Soetan, and her team.
During the visit, the Ikeja Electric team provided an overview of the company’s key achievements, focusing on its digital transformation strategy and technology roadmap. This initiative has been pivotal in enhancing the operations of the distribution company and positioning Ikeja Electric as the leading DISCO in Nigeria.
The delegation discussed the numerous challenges impacting Ikeja Electric, along with other issues disrupting operations within the broader energy value chain.
The committee members acknowledged these challenges and expressed their commitment to collaborating with Ikeja Electric to address the issues and find sustainable solutions.
